What are Neodymium Magnets?

How To Do It: Easy Ways!

Let’s learn some tricks!

1. The Slide!

This is the best way! Remember, sliding is easier.

• Step 1: Hold one magnet in each hand.
• Step 2: Slide them sideways. Don’t pull!
• Step 3: Keep sliding! You did it!

This works because of shear force. Shear force is like sliding a book. It’s easier than lifting it!

2. The Table Edge!

This uses a table.

• Step 1: Put the stuck magnets on a table edge.
• Step 2: One magnet should hang over the edge.
• Step 3: Push down! It’ll slide off. Industrial Motors use this.

This works because of leverage. Leverage is like a seesaw. It makes it easy!

3. Special Tools!

Sometimes, you need a special tool.

• Plastic wedge: A thin triangle. Push it between the magnets.
• Magnet separator jig: A tool made just for this!
